Gabbi is a Senior Associate at Sand River, an investor that engages collaborative capital to have a positive impact on nature. She is dedicated to protecting, valuing and restoring natural ecosystems through innovative, nature-based technologies.
Fredrika is a Senior Manager in HSBCs Global Climate Tech team, working at the intersection of Sustainable Finance and HSBC Innovation Banking. She leads the design and execution of HSBCs Nature Tech strategy, partnering with innovators and external stakeholders to advance solutions that support nature-positive outcomes and the transition to a more sustainable economy. With a focus on strategy, market development and collaboration across the bank, she helps connect emerging climate and nature technologies with capital and commercial opportunities.
Sebastian leads the Natcap team on their mission to accelerate the nature positive transition by integrating nature intelligence into business decision making. Over the last 10 years, his career has been focused on trying to make our economic system more sustainable.
Sebastian worked as an Associate Partner at McKinsey, helping businesses and governments define and embed climate and nature strategies into their operations. He has also been a policy advisor, teacher, and researcher.
Holly is the Co-Founder of Afloat Invest, a community for nature-tech investors supporting a regenerative future. Holly has a decade of experience in Cleantech and a strong passion for protecting oceans and nature. She has led a research team focused on resources and the environment, combining hands-on technical skills with big-picture thinking.
Harland is the inventor of the "Seashield" concept, having seen the opportunity for kelp forests to reduce wave height and protect offshore infrastructure. His work comes from a background in sales, innovation, and insurance, finding ways to solve problems for large asset owners whilst monetising the results. He has drawn inspiration from his work with land management charities, infrastructure investors, and UK policymakers, and holds and MSc from UCL.
